Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo expands with new partner hire

Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo has hired Eliana Bejarano as a partner in the firm´s International, Economic, Digital and Public Law and Institutional Relations areas

Eliana del Pilar Bejarano Murillo joins the firm headed by Carlos González Soria and chaired by Javier Cremades as a partner.

Bejarano has held various positions of legal and political relevance, and was for several years an advisor and official of the Colombian government, including the opening of Colombia’s first diplomatic representation in Azerbaijan.

She has also led several international processes in defence of the human rights of the victims of the armed conflict in Colombia.

For the last five years, she has advised various governments and companies on their internationalisation and sustainable development policies.

Currently, Bejarano is leading a business project on food security, with great social impact in Latin America. She also lectures at the online training technology institute Zigurat Global Institute of Technology.

In terms of academic background, Eliana holds a degree in Law from the Universidad Externado de Colombia. She also holds a Master’s degree in Legal Culture and Comparative Law from University of Genoa (Italy). In addition, Bejarano is currently pursuing a PhD at University College London.
