Deloitte Legal advises Saoyama on the sale of Aldiana Fuerteventura

A Deloitte Legal Corporate and M&A team has counselled Saoyame (seller) on the sale of Aldiana Fuerteventura to German Der Touristik

-

The hotel division Der Touristik of the German food company Rewe acquires the Aldiana Club Ampflwang in Jandía (Fuerteventura), in one of the most important financial operations of the year in the Canary Islands.

DER Touristik closed the deal with DTH Real Estate Fuerteventura SL, based in Morro Jable.

The cooperatively organised Rewe Group is one of the leading commercial and tourism groups in Germany and Europe. In 2022, the company generated a total external turnover of 85 billion euros (almost 10% of the Spanish GDP). Founded in 1927, the Rewe Group operates with around 380,000 employees in 21 European countries.

Aldiana Club has been an integral part of the Aldiana portfolio for many years and was previously operated on a leasehold basis. The spacious complex has direct access to the beach and has a total of 361 rooms (more than 700 beds), with a four-star superior category.

According to Der Touristik officials, “investment in selected hotel properties is one of our long-term objectives. This makes it the fourth hotel in total (and the second Aldiana Club Hotel) that we will manage as owners, which, in our view, is positive.”

Deloitte Legal team has been formed by partner Ignacio Medina, senior associate José Manuel Lopez and associate Alejandro Espín.
