In his new position, Pernas will assume leadership, especially in the cross-cutting sectors of renewable energies and distribution, as part of the firm’s firm commitment to promoting these areas.
Throughout his more than 15 years of professional career, he has accumulated extensive experience in shareholders’ disputes and banking law and in restructuring and insolvency, renewable energies and industrial property. This experience has earned him recognition by the “Best Lawyer Spain” directory in the areas of Corporate and M&A in its 2022 and 2023 editions.
Prior to joining Montero Aramburu, Pernas was managing partner of the Madrid office of Dueñas Ruart Abogados. He has also developed his professional career in prestigious law firms such as Garrigues, Gómez-Acebo & Pombo and Andersen Tax & Legal, and has formed part of the legal team of the Bank of Spain and various credit institutions.
He holds a PhD in Private Law from the University of Navarra and an MBA from the Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles. He currently combines his professional practice with his teaching activity as a lecturer in the Commercial Law Department of the University of Cordoba.
