RCD opens in Córdoba

The law firm RCD has announced the opening of a new office in Andalusia, in the city of Córdoba, which will be the firm's fifth in Spain, and the incorporation of Juan Pedro Dueñas and Miguel Espinosa as new partners

The move is part of the firm’s growth strategy and demonstrates the firm’s aim to expand in the region, where it already has an office in Seville and plans to continue growing, specifically in Malaga.

The new office will be physically located in the centre of Córdoba, at Bulevar de Gran Capitán, 2. Like the rest of the offices of RCD, it will operate under the principle of a single office, meaning that it will have a multidisciplinary approach and will respond to the needs of clients across all the legal practices and sectors covered by the firm. This new office will include the incorporation of two new partners to the structure of the firm: Juan Pedro Dueñas and Miguel Espinosa, along with a team of professionals with renowned experience.

Adolf Rousaud, co-managing partner of RCD, reflects on this new move by the firm: “Our commitment to Andalusia has always been linked to growth, as reflected in the opening of this second office. Our will to maintain a physical presence in the south of Spain in order to be closer to our clients has been reinforced, and the knowledge of the market that our presence in Seville has given us thus far has allowed us to make a firm commitment to continue growing in Andalusia”.

Ignasi Costas, co-managing partner of RCD, commented: “We are very pleased to continue attracting the most talented professionals and to have Juan Pedro and Miguel join the business, both of whom have extensive experience and an in-depth knowledge of the Andalusian market, which will allow us to strengthen our value proposition and continue to grow”.

Juan Pedro Dueñas, the new partner in the Corporate & Commercial Area, says: “Both Miguel and I are very excited about joining a business such as RCD, with which we share the same vision and values. Its growth strategy and commitment to the Andalusian market is fully aligned with our own experience, and we hope to contribute all our knowledge to a top-tier law firm like RCD”.

The opening of a new office in Andalusia further bolsters the growth of RCD, which had been consolidated following the opening of the Seville office in March 2022, and the recent change of location of the Valencia office. This move will allow the firm to keep on the path of growth with the aim of continuing its expansion, which it has not abandoned since its creation.

The new professionals in the Córdoba office of RCD bring together knowledge, specialisation, and a strong track record centred around excellence in the legal practice and thorough knowledge of the local market:

Juan Pedro specialises in Corporate and Commercial Law and has extensive experience in the areas of Company Law, M&A, Restructuring and Insolvency, and the Energy industry. He holds a law degree from the University of Córdoba and is an honorary professor in the Department of Commercial Law at the same university. He is also secretary and advisor of the Board of Directors of several companies in the renewable energy industry and is recognised by the most prestigious international legal directories such as Chambers and Partners and Best Lawyers.

In turn, Miguel specialises in labour law with extensive experience in corporate reorganisation and restructuring processes, collective bargaining and disputes, labour litigation, and labour and social security inspections. Miguel is a Law graduate, honorary professor of the Economic Criminal Law Area and a Labour Law, Criminal Law, and Restructuring and Insolvency Researcher at the University of Córdoba.
