The Governing Board of the Barcelona Bar Association has awarded its Corporation Medal, the highest distinction awarded by the institution, to eight renowned jurists; members of the ICAB, lawyers, personalities and entities of civil society who have stood out for their personal, professional, associative, institutional and social trajectory.
Javier Cremades García, lawyer, founding partner of Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Abogados and president of the World Jourist Association (WJA), has been awarded the Corporation Medal in recognition for his personal and professional career, outstanding in the field of Corporate Law, Corporate Governance and Financial Litigation, and for his promotion of the rule of law and respect for freedom in the international arena.
Victoria Ortega, president of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers; Joan Picó Junoy, Litigation Law professor at Universidad Pompeu Fabra; Sebastià Sastre Papiol, lawyer and former judge of the First Chamber of the Supreme Court; Emma Gumbert, vice-president of PYMEC; Christina Blacklaws, president of The Law Society of England and Wales (2018-2019); Magda Oranich, lawyer and president of the ICAB´s Animal Rights Protection Commission and Andreu Batlle i Amat, lawyer and sub-delegate of the ICAB in Vilafranca del Penedès, have been the other seven jurists recognised with the highest distinction awarded by the Barcelona Bar Association.
