Beatriz Rúa joins Vaciero from KPMG, where she has led the Litigation and Insolvency practice at national level for almost a decade, increasing her initial turnover fourfold.

She has 24 years of experience advising both national and international clients on all types of Commercial and Civil Litigation at all levels. Beatriz specialises in rebus sic stantibus proceedings, directors’ liability, unfair competition, banking litigation, termination for breach of contract and claims for damages, among others.

In the Insolvency field, she has acted as Insolvency administrator in some of the most important insolvency proceedings of the last decade. She has also accumulated considerable experience in advising companies in difficulties, through pre-bankruptcy solutions and, where appropriate, through bankruptcy proceedings.

She is a speaker at forums and conferences, and lecturer in the I and II edition of the ICAM Master’s degree in Restructuring, as well as vice-president of ANEPRI, a national association of restructuring and insolvency companies and professionals, which aims to disseminate Insolvency Law.

With the arrival of Beatriz Rúa, the firm chaired by Francisco Vaciero consolidates its commitment to growth after having incorporated Abel Fernández as a partner in the Business Innovation Consultancy area, and José María Cabrales as a partner in the Litigation and Commercial Law area.

Along with Beatriz, Eduardo Borrego joins the firm as senior associate, after having spent almost his entire career at KPMG, the last part as a senior manager.

Francisco Vaciero, president of Vaciero said: “Beatriz’s arrival in the Madrid office will further boost our consolidation in the capital’s market. Her extensive experience advising a wide range of companies and her solid knowledge will provide our clients with guidance on the most complex Litigation and Insolvency matters.”
