Following these additions, which became effective on 2 November, RocaJunyent’s Labour Law Department has grown to 15 professionals with extensive experience in advising on all types of labour law matters. The team is led by three partners: Albert Rodríguez, Rosa Rodríguez and the recently incorporated María José Sánchez.
With more than 20 years of experience in the sector, María José Sánchez, after a stage at Clifford Chance, went on to develop her professional career at Landwell-PwC Tax&Legal Services, where she reached the position of Director in the Labour Law Area of the Barcelona office. Since 2017, she has been a partner at Augusta Abogados, where she has advised on all types of labour law matters, both in national and international companies. She has solid experience in litigation before the Social Jurisdiction, restructuring processes, collective bargaining and strategic labour advice.
María José Sánchez holds a Law degree from the Universidad de Sevilla, with specialisation studies in EU Law at the University of Pau (France). She also holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Legal Consultancy from the Instituto de Empresa and an Executive MBA from ESADE.
In the academic field, she is a collaborating lecturer at the Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF) in Barcelona and has contributed to various publications and conferences on Labour Law issues. She is a member of the main national and international labour law associations.
Pere Vidal, a lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in Labour Law advice, who combines his professional practice with outstanding academic work as a lecturer at the UOC and a regular contributor to various publications and specialised forums, and associates lawyers Aleix Bujaldón and Susanna Abad, have also joined RocaJunyent’s labour law practice.
