ME HE HECHO VIRAL is an international co-production between the Spanish production companies Bowfinger International Pictures, S.L., Me He Hecho Viral La Película A.I.E, Atresmedia Cine, S.L.U. and Warner Bros. Entertainment España, S.L. and the Argentinean production company Pampa Films, SA, with theatrical release on 11 October 2023. Domestic theatrical distribution will be handled by Warner Bros Entertainment España, and the film has the participation of Netflix and Movistar+, in association with Mogambo and Glow Animation.
All of this is thanks to the producer and executive producer of the film, María Luisa Gutierrez, founding partner and CEO of Bowfinger International Pictures, president of the Spanish Film Association (AECINE) and winner of important awards in the audiovisual industry in recent years such as the Fotogramas de Plata or the Comscore Courage Award.
ECIJA’s TMT team, led by partner Elena Ordúñez and lawyer Alejandro Díaz, has participated in the legal advice on the film, accompanying the production company throughout the production process, from the hiring of the authorial and artistic team to the closing of the agreements for the marketing and financing of the work and the achievement of the General Aid for the project granted by the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts for €1,000,000.
