King & Wood Mallesons’ (KWM) fund team has advised Qualitas Energy on the structuring and first closing of its new fund, QEV, which has achieved investment commitments of over €1.1 billion.

The strategy of QEV, whose target size has been set at EUR 1.6 billion, is to invest in renewable energy assets and infrastructure related to the energy transition, mainly in Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy and Poland. Among the LPs participating in the new vehicle are several of the investors that had already been part of the fund manager’s previous funds.

The team of lawyers involved in this project has been led by Isabel Rodríguez, partner and head of Investment Funds at KWM – Spain, who has been supported by Funds senior associate María de Orueta.
