KWM counsels Swanlaab Venture Factory on the launch of new fund

King & Wood Mallesons has advised Swanlaab Venture Factory on the launch of its new investment vehicle, the Swanlaab Tech Fund II FCR

The vehicle, with a target size of between €60 and €80 million, counts among its investors Fond-ICO global, BBVA, several family offices and private investors. The private equity manager has reached investment commitments of €45 million at its first closing.

The strategy of this new fund is focused on investing in Spanish startups with a B2B business model in early stages, with a strong technological character.

Swanlaab Venture Factory is a Spanish-Israeli venture fund manager that began operating in Spain in 2016. Its objective is not only focused on the financial contribution but also on accompanying the teams that make up the companies invested in during the consolidation of the projects until they achieve lasting international success.

The KWM team of lawyers involved in this project has been led by partner and head of the fund department Isabel Rodríguez, with the collaboration of associate Gonzalo Lozano.
