Ashurst recruits Financial Regulatory expert from Uría

Ashurst has hired Pilar Lluesma as a counsel to lead the firm´s Financial Regulatory practice, joining from Uría Menéndez

Pilar Lluesma will shortly join Ashurst as a counsel from Uría Menéndez, where she has been working also a counsel in the firm´s Madrid office. She began her legal career in Uría Ménendez Valencia office and then worked at Ramón y Cajal Abogados, Linklaters in Madrid and INVERCO (Spanish association of investment and pension funds), rejoining Uría in 2011.

Her professional practice primarily focuses on Banking and Finance and Securities Law.

Pilar is a Financial Regulation specialist (credit entities and investment service companies) and regularly advises on matters relating to collective investment entities.

She has also experience as secretary of the Board of Directors of financial regulated entities (investment services entities and asset management entities) and all matters relating to MiFID II, PRIIPS and EMIR.

Pilar holds a Law degree with special distinction from Universidad de Valencia, and a Master’s degree in European Studies from College of Europe, Bruges
