AGM expands Tax practice with partner hire from GT

AGM Abogados has hired Ignacio Ruiz Carrasco as a Tax partner, joining from Grant Thornton with his team

Ignacio Ruiz is a Law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds a Master´s degree in Stock Exchange and Financial Markets from Instituto de Estudios Bursátiles (IEB) and another in Business Tax Consulting from IE.

His professional experience has been developed in the field of Taxax advice, both nationally and internationally, in the planning and restructuring of business groups, large companies or family offices, conducting Due Diligences, and the defense of the Taxpayer before the Tax Agency in the inspection procedures and their defense before the Economic-Administrative Courts and the Contentious-Administrative Courts.

He started his career at Garrido Abogados as a Tax advisor, and has worked at Dentons as Tax advisor, at EY in the Business Tax Advisory and Tax Controversy Services area and as a Tax manager at UHY International before joining Grant Thornton in 2017, where he was until now a director in the firm´s Business Tax Advisory & Tax Litigation department. he now joins AGM Abogados Madrid office as a Tax partner.

Ignacio joins AGM Abogados with his team, all of them also from Grant Thornton, who will also join the Legal Tax/Accounting department: Cristina Moratalla Plaza as head, Andrea Gonzalo Rodríguez as lawyer, and Anay Vega Moncayo as Tax advisor.
