RocaJunyent guides Nogebus’ Insolvency

RocaJunyent is advising coach bodies manufacturer Nogebus on its Insolvency proceedings

-

Nogebus, a manufacturer specialising in the manufacture of coaches, has filed for insolvency proceedings. The company, based in Arbúcies (La Selva), currently employs 30 people and had a turnover of almost €16 million.

Nogebus specialises in the manufacture of coach bodies and has state-of-the-art technological resources in every area of its business: engineering, design, production and logistics. It constantly incorporates the latest advances in design, comfort, ergonomics and safety in its coaches, which guarantees tough, compact, and highly functional vehicles.

The economic crisis generated by COVID-19 has caused a drastic fall in the volume of operations due to the non-renewal of fleets by passenger transport companies, as well as an excess of debt derived from the financing of turnover losses.

In addition, Nogebus has also been affected by the supply crisis and a sharp increase in energy costs, leading to frustrated orders and a lower than expected market recovery.

The company is working to try to reverse the insolvency situation, without ruling out the articulation of an agreement with its creditors, in addition to the possible transfer of its business unit.

The advice on this matter is being led by RocaJunyent Restructuring partner Josep Pujolràs.
