DIGI adds Competition Legal counsel from Bird & Bird

Digi Spain Telecom (DIGI) has hired Miguel Orellana Mejías as Legal counsel, joining from Bird & Bird

Miguel Orellana holds a double degree in Law and International relations from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, as well as a Master´s degree in EU Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, an LLM in EU & Competition Law from Université de Liège and a Legal English programme from Centro de Estudios Garrigues.

He started his career at CMS Albiñana & Suárez de Lezo as a Legal trainee, and was later hired by Bird & Bird to work in the firm´s EU & Competition Law department.

He now joins Digi Spain telecom as Legal counsel in the company´s Competition and Regulatory affairs department.

DIGI is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) with more than 13 years of presence in Spain. It belongs to the multinational RCS&RDS, one of the most important telecommunications groups in Europe, providing services through the DIGI brand in Spain, Romania, Italy and Hungary. It is currently Romania’s leading provider of cable and satellite TV and internet services, as well as a major provider of mobile and fixed-line telephony.
