Nicolás Zúñiga holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas ICAI-ICADE, and holds a double Master´s degree in Law Practice and Business Law from IE Law School.
He started his career, after internships at Ferrovial and EY, at Cuatrecasas, where he spent three years as a Corporate/M&A lawyer.
In 2019, he joined Ashurst, where he has been working in the firm´s energy team under the direction of Andrés Alfonso. He was part of the Ashurst team that advised Sojitz Corporation on its acquisition of a relevant minority stake in Nexus Energía in 2021, and also participated in the advice to solar IPP Sonnedix on its acquisition of a solar portfolio from RIC Energy and to InfraVia Capital Partners on the acquisition of Molgas Energy Holding.
