Kampaoh, the startup from Seville that has managed to combine the comforts of a hotel with the attraction of nature by creating a new business model known as glamping, has closed a new round of financing for a total of €14 million, with the aim of launching its expansion and internationalisation plan.
In total, the €14 million increase is divided into €12.5 million (in debt) provided by Alter Capital, Zenon Asset Management, and BBVA; and €1.5 million (as a bridge round) from investors already involved in the project JME Ventures, Axon Partners Group and Encomenda Smart Capital.
This was the company’s third investment round in three years. The first was in 2020 for €300,000 and the second was in 2021 for €4 million.
Kampaoh was founded in 2016 with a simple but effective proposal, offering comfortable and modern accommodation throughout the country without the need for the client to set up anything, its tent models incorporate electricity, kitchenware and cleaning service.
Zurbarán Abogados advised Kampaoh with a Venture Capital team led by partner Ricardo Torres García.
