She has extensive expertise in aircraft financing for helicopters, commercial aircraft and business jets, as well as tax lease transactions for ships, shipbuilding contracts and ECA-backed financings and other asset finance transactions for rail and rolling stock. Laura also has a broad knowledge of M&A and corporate and commercial law.

WFW’s newly appointed partner, who joined the firm in 2009, graduated in Law and Business Administration at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. As a member of the firm, she has worked in both the London and Madrid offices. Laura has been recommended in several publications and directories during her professional career, including Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, which has recently highlighted her “skill in negotiating asset purchase and lease agreements.”

Laura Cadenas’ appointment brings the Madrid office’s total number of partners to 13 out of 195.

María Pilar García Guijarro, managing partner of the Madrid office, says that “We are very happy and proud of Laura’s appointment, which is definitely a recognition of her great contribution to WFW and her excellent client service.” In addition, this appointment demonstrates our commitment to promoting lawyers who join the firm both nationally and internationally, demonstrating the firm’s commitment to Spain.”

Laura Cadenas comments: “I face this new stage with great enthusiasm, commitment and, above all, gratitude to the firm, partners, colleagues in Madrid and the rest of the offices and clients, who have made it possible. It is an exciting time in the sectors in which we specialise, which will undoubtedly undergo a tremendous transformation in the coming years.”
