Taiga Mistral has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with one of the leading electricity utilities in Spain, with an Investment Grade credit rating, for an 11.6MW solar photovoltaic plant.
The duration of the contract will be 10 years, starting on 1 April 2023.
The plant has been operational since December 2022 and consists of 21,180 bifacial solar panels installed on single-axis trackers. The estimated production is 25.33 GWh per year, equivalent to the average consumption of 7500 homes, which means a saving of up to 4500 tons of CO2 emissions.
Taiga Mistral manages more than 1000 MW of renewable energy projects, four electricity distribution companies, and an energy trading company, among others.
Taiga Mistral was advised on this deal by Watson Farley & Williams, with a team led by Regulatory partner David Díez, together with Corporate/M&A senior associate Héctor Suárez.
