The appointment has taken place through a vote among all the partners of the firm worldwide. Juan Manuel de Remedios is the first Spaniard to form part of this committee.
The Global Partners Committee of White & Case is an institutional body made up of only eight partners of the firm, and its mission is to support its chair in defining and implementing White & Case’s strategy worldwide.
The appointment is a recognition of Juan Manuel de Remedios’ track record and White & Case’s ambitious growth strategy in Spain. Its implementation has meant doubling the size of the Madrid office to more than 50 lawyers, with the aim of consolidating White & Case as one of the leading firms in Spain.
Juan Manuel de Remedios has stated that “it is an honour to have been chosen by the partners of the firm and a recognition of the work we are carrying out from the Madrid office.”
Spain is one of the leading economies in the Eurozone, and White & Case’s Madrid office plays an instrumental role as a link between the firm’s Latin American and European practices, providing clients with cross-border advice and a global perspective.
