Ventura Garcés adds Regulatory Compliance head from Naturgy

Teresa Olivié joins Ventura Garcés as director of the firm´s Compliance and Regulatory Law department, which are currently booming sectors

Teresa, an international lawyer, has developed her professional career both in the private sector and in the electricity companies’ employers’ association. As a result, she has extensive experience in these areas, which began in Unión Fenosa and was greatly enriched by her time at Naturgy, where she has spent 14 years in various legal positions, most recently as head of Compliance.

In 2009, she began her career in the group as head of Regulatory Legal Services and subsequently as deputy director. In 2017, she was appointed Compliance Officer, as position she held until 2021 with responsibilities in Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico or Australia, among others countries; being under her mandate one of the first IBEX 35 companies to obtain UNE19601 certifications as well as ISO 37001.

Teresa is an expert in Administrative and Contentious-Administrative Law, Regulated Sectors and Regulatory Compliance. She has also coordinated international arbitrations of exceptional relevance in London and New York.

Teresa holds a Law degree from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas anmd a Master´s degree in in European Community Law from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, as well as an advanced course on Competition Law from IEB.
