Vaciero opens a Business Innovation Consultancy area and hires Abel Fernández, from Leyton, as a partner to lead it.
From the area headed by Abel Fernández, the firm will provide services to companies in the management of European Funds and public aid, Tax optimisation of innovation, comprehensive advice on Open Innovation and R&D Tax Lease.
Abel Fernández has more than ten years of experience advising companies on the Tax optimisation and management of Public Aid for their technological and innovative activity and has also been involved in Open Innovation processes (Corporate & Startups) and R&D Tax Lease operations.
Prior to joining Vaciero as a Business Innovation Consulting partner, Abel Fernández developed his career in the consultancy firm Leyton, among others, as partnership manager, dealing with the relationship with private and public entities that make up the innovative Spanish ecosystem, in order to establish collaboration agreements and generate consortia for R&D&I activities. He also led the R&D Tax Lease operations between corporations and startups.
An Industrial Engineer from the University of Oviedo, Abel Fernández is also a regular speaker at numerous conferences, seminars and workshops on business innovation in all its aspects. Abel is also an ambassador for the Knowcosters Foundation, a non-profit organisation that works to promote responsible and transformative consumption through informed consumption.
With the arrival of Abel Fernández, the firm chaired by Francisco Vaciero continues to take steps towards the growth of the firm after the recent incorporation of José María Cabrales as partner of the Litigation and Commercial Law area, and Marino Zapatero as the new managing director of the company.
