Uría menéndez has promoted lawyer Nicolás Nägele García de Fuentes to the role of senior associate (asociado principal), after seven and a half years with the firm.
Nicolás holds a double degree in Law and Business Administration with a specialitation in Finance from Universidad San Pablo CEU, with one year of exchange at the University of Ausgburg. He holds a Master´s degree in Transport Law from Universitat Jaume I.
He started his career at Uría Menéndez as a junior associate in 2014, after short interns at the same firm and Deloitte, making associate in 2018.
His practice focuses on Maritime and Transport Law. He advises on projects related to the development, operation and acquisition of infrastructure and transport companies, primarily concerning port terminals, collaborative transportation platforms, airlines, rail operators and logistics companies.
Nicolás also assists with Regulatory and Sanctioning matters related to this sector, as well as disputes regarding vessel construction and repair, international contracts, maritime pollution and other maritime casualties.
He regularly lectures on various Master’s degrees on the subjects of Transport Law and International Contracting.
