Until now and for more than three years, Víctor was an associate at Hogan Lovells’ Intellectual Property, Media, and Technology (TMT) team. As part of his work, he was in charge of: Advising local and international entities in the drafting and negotiation of IT/IP/Media agreements (e.g. SaaS agreements, Content Licensing agreements, Image Rights agreements, Sponsorship agreements, etc.), advising e-commerce businesses on media and IP law aspects regarding the distribution of content through the Internet, advising on Privacy matters related to GDPR and e-Privacy (e.g. coordination and notification of data breaches occurring in several jurisdictions, data protection impact assessments over projects that involve complex data processing activities, ensuring fulfilment of e-marketing requirements in conjunction with the GDPR, etc.), and advising on a number of transactions involving IP and IT items in Spain and in global projects to ensure compliance by multinationals with applicable IP, IT, audiovisual and Media Law.
Although he gained experience as a trainee at Garrigues he officially started his career at Clifford Chance, working later at Liberty Seguros as a Lawyer in the Corporate department.
He is a Law and Business Administration graduate from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and he spent a year at the university KU Leuven thanks to the Erasmus programme. He also studied an executive programme in Privacy, Data Protection, and CyberSecurity from the IE Business School.
