Ireland is a dynamic and growing economy; our clients, both those who have a presence in the country and those who want to invest there, will have direct access to the best lawyers in the local market”.

Commenting on the announcement, the Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Simon Coveney TD, said: “I am delighted with the opening of Squire Patton Boggs’ new Dublin office, which will create up to 50 new jobs over the next few years. It is a welcome announcement and represents further growth in legal services. Steve Mahon, Global Managing Partner – Clients and Strategy, notes: “Ireland is a dynamic economy that continues to emerge as a strategic investment location for multiple sectors in which our firm has deep connections. Our new office allows us to continue to help our clients achieve their goals at home and abroad. We are excited about the launch and remain focused on continued expansion.”

“The response from clients across the firm has been very positive,” notes Dennis Agnew, “I am excited about the prospects for growth, with Ireland being a key part of our global growth strategy, and the anticipation of exceeding 50 lawyers in the next few years.”

The Dublin office of Squire Patton Boggs will offer highly specialised commercial and transactional legal services, particularly M&A and private equity, backed by the firm’s extensive network of legal areas. The initial team, which includes corporate partner, George Kennedy, will focus on advising domestic and international companies on cross-border transactions.
