Cristina Coto del Valle is a Law graduate from the Universidad de Oviedo and a State Attorney.
She began her professional career in the public sector as a State Attorney for the
Government Delegation in A Coruña and Asturias, and was also head of the Regional Legal Service of the AEAT and Deputy Director of the Legal Service of the Tax Agency (AEAT) from 2004 to 2012, when she went on to head the Cabinet of the Ministry of Justice.
She holds extensive experience in advising and defending the Public Administration in all areas, specialising in Public Law, Contentious-Administrative, Contentious-Tax and Economic Criminal Law. As director of the Office of the Minister of Justice, she has participated in the drafting and processing of the reform of the Criminal Code on the area of criminal liability of legal persons (compliance).
Since November 2014, she has worked as a partner, of two law firms (CMS Spain and Ruiz Gallardón Abogados). After it, she joined Mavens in March 2021, as partner of the Regulatory, Litigation and Sustainability Law department.
She now has been appointed secretary-general, head of the Legal department and and secretary of the Board of SEPI. Desarrollo Empresarial, S.A., S.M.E.(SEPIDES) from GRUPO SEPI.
