Senn Ferrero promotes three to partner

Senn Ferrero has announced the promotion of three senior associates to partner, Eduardo Oliver and Carlos Carnero in Spain and José María Zayas in Mexico

Eduardo Oliver began his career in the journalistic sector, but he already has more than 8 years in the legal sector, advising athletes, artists and sports and private entities in a multidisciplinary way in different areas of the law, especially in the civil, commercial, sports and intellectual property fields, among others, both nationally and internationally. He has been a member of Senn, Ferrero, Asociados since 2013 and for several years he has been a lecturer and professor in Masters and Courses related to sports law. In turn, he has participated in various specialized publications in the sector, especially those related to image rights.

Carlos Carnero works in the firm´s Tax department. He has extensive experience in the field of tax law, particularly in international taxation, and in all tax matters related to the world of sports and entertainment, having advised numerous athletes, artists and entities in the sector. He began his professional career at Garrigues, where he was part of the tax department and collaborated with the Sports & Entertainment department. In 2013 he joined Senn, Ferrero, Asociados Sports & Entertainment. He is a member of the Editorial Board of LawInSport, one of the most relevant specialized websites in the field of sports law. He has participated as a speaker in several seminars related to taxation in the world of sport. He is also a regular columnist on tax issues related to sport and entertainment in several websites, specialized magazines, and the economic press.

José María Zayas Prado is specialised in sports and entertainment law, with extensive experience in matters related to the hiring of professional athletes, national and international transfers, structuring and execution of complex commercial operations (mergers and acquisitions) , and the defense and management as an employer’s attorney in proceedings before all kinds of jurisdictional and administrative bodies and arbitration tribunals in the field of sports and entertainment. He began his professional career as a corporate lawyer, specializing in the field of financial law (banking and stock market) working for two of the main law firms in Mexico, Martínez, Algaba, de Haro, Curiel and Galván-Duque, S.C. (now Martínez, Algaba, de Haro y Curiel, S.C.) and Creel, García-Cuéllar, Aíza y Enríquez, S.C.
