Sastre Beceiro Abogados, a new Boutique law firm, is born

Sastre Beceiro Abogados has been founded by Mónica Sastre, a more than 30 years experienced lawyer specialised in Environmental and Water Law

-

After more than 30 years of professional experience, the lawyer specialising in Water and Environmental Law, Mónica Sastre, announces the launch of her own legal boutique specialising in this area: Sastre Beceiro Abogados.

As she explains, what has prompted the foundation of her own professional project is to continue working to help her clients “in the face of the various conflicts that have always existed in Spain and which have been accentuated in recent years. Water is essential and scarce for the different uses required: supply, agriculture, hydroelectric energy production, and hydrogen production, which makes quality legal advice essential.”

Mónica Sastre Beceiro has practised Law for more than 30 years in the firm Ariño y Villar Abogados. She is a Ph.D. in Law cum laude since 2001 and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Management (ICADE) and another Master’s degree in Environmental Law from the Universidad del País Vasco.

She is also highly specialised in Administrative Law, particularly in the environment, water, and public procurement. She is the author of more than 23 publications in books and 10 articles in journals about Administrative Law, with particular reference to the water sector and public procurement.

She is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Water Resources Association (IWRA); of the Association of Users of the Madrid Aquifer (AUMA) and is an honorary lawyer of the National Federation of Irrigation Communities (FENACORE).

The new law firm has strong expertise in Administrative Law and, in particular, in Environmental Law, Disciplinary Law, Asset Liability, Public Procurement, and expropriations. It has a strong reputation in sectors such as hydrogen production and hydroelectric energy.

The Sastre Beceiro Abogados team also includes partner Javier de Ahumada, who holds a Ph.D. in Law and is a lawyer specialising in the liability of Public Administrations, penalties, Public Procurement, professional associations, and Competition Law. José Manuel Rivas Rodríguez, as of counsel, has extensive experience as head of projects and installations in the water sector with great technical knowledge.

“We are a legal team with extensive experience and we have external technical collaborators of the highest level to offer the best service to our clients”, says the founding partner of the firm, Mónica Sastre.
