Javier Salinas is a Law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and holds an LLM in European Caompetition Law from Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, as well as European Competition Law studies from King´s College London. He joined Ramón y Cajal Abogados in 2012 from Clifford Chance. He acts as Non-Governmental Advisor (Internation Competition Network) to the CNMV (Spain´s National Commission on Markets and Competition).
Javier specialises in advising on all types of matters relating to Competition Law and the agri-food sector. He is particularly outstanding in advising on Antitrust disciplinary proceedings and Litigation related to Competition Law, including the representation of companies in merger control proceedings. Javier also specialises in advising on food chain matters, both in disciplinary proceedings brought by the AICA and the bodies of the Autonomous Communities, as well as in reviewing the compatibility of the contractual dynamics of food chain operators with the aforementioned regulations.
