Ramón y Cajal Abogados is advising Q-Energy on the acquisition of several photovoltaic plants in operation with a combined nominal capacity of 1.5 MW in Extremadura, whose sellers are various private shareholders who have been legally advised by Cuatrecasas.

The sale was signed on May 24, and the financial details have not been disclosed.

This deal comes after Q-Energy reached an agreement to sell a ‘mega-portfolio’ of some 4,500 megawatts (MW) of renewables in Spain to Austrian energy company Verbund for €1 billion, advised by Garrigues and Linklaters, and reported by Legal Dealmaker on March 12, the largest PV portfolio transaction in Spain in 2022.

Ramón y Cajal´s team was led by partners Antonio de Mariano and Amado Giménez Bono, with the participation of lawyers Lucas Mera and Lucía Alexander.

Both Amado Giménez and Antonio de Mariano were among the Top 100 Energy Legal Dealmakers selection published by this media on May 18.
