RyC announces partner, of counsel promotions

Ramón y Cajal Abogados has promoted Javier Salinas to partner and Javier Pérez Fernández and Pablo González de Zárate Catón to of counsel in the firm´s Competition area

The new promotions of Ramón y Cajal Abogados were announce at the firm´s General Partners Assembly that took place in Valencia.

Javier Salinas has been promoted to new partner in the firm´s Competition area and the Agrifood sector. Javier specialises in advising on all types of matters relating to Competition Law and the agri-food sector. His experience covers all areas of Competition Law, being particularly outstanding in advising on sanctioning proceedings and in judicial litigation related to competition law, including the representation of companies in merger control proceedings. Javier is also specialised in advising on food chain matters, both in disciplinary proceedings brought by the AICA and the bodies of the Autonomous Communities, as well as in reviewing the compatibility of the contractual dynamics of food chain operators with the aforementioned regulations. Prior to joining Ramón y Cajal Abogados, he completed an internship at the Directorate General for Competition of the European Commission and worked in national and international law firms of recognised prestige. In his professional career, Javier has advised national and multinational companies in a wide variety of economic sectors, including the agri-food sector, such as the audiovisual, telecommunications, consumer goods, real estate and financial sectors. Javier is a non-governmental advisor to the Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia in the International Competition Network.

Javier Pérez Fernández and Pablo González de Zárate Catón, have been promoted to of counsel in the firm´s Competition area.

Other promotions include Alba Sellés Marco, new Competition associate, Carlos Concellon Emaille, new Civil Litigation associate in the firm´s Barcelona office, Eloísa González de Aledo and Marta Villarino Gejo, new Civil Litigation associate in Madrid, David Díaz Villar, new Corporate associate, Ester Martín García and Patricia Porras Revilla, new Criminal Litigation associates and Raquel Enciso Losilla, new Administrative Law and Regulated sectors associate.
