The startup Aimentia developed a platform with artificial intelligence (AI) to identify people suffering from a mental health problem and who are in a possible situation of risk, in order to monitor them effectively. To meet the challenges posed by this area of health, this entrepreneurial project has managed to raise €500,000 from private investors, a figure that could be increased to €800,000.
Mental disorders are becoming, in the words of Edgar Jorba, CEO and co-founder of Aimentia, a “silent global epidemic, which must be tackled with innovation and the development of new technologies”.
Faced with this challenge, Aimentia has an operational platform not only in Spain, but also in Argentina, Mexico and Chile, and already has more than 31,000 registered users, including patients and professionals, in more than 120 schools. “Mental health is unfortunately still considered a stigma,” says Edgar Jorba.
RocaJunyent advised Aimentia HealthTech with a team led by partner Xavier Foz, together with senior associate Jordi Bermúdez and lawyer Cristina Encina Cabrera.
