This signing aims to drive the growth of the domestic and international arbitration and mediation services, as well as to reinforce the litigation team led by Gonzalo Serrano.
Oriol Valentí is a specialist in domestic and international Arbitration. He participates in arbitration proceedings before the ICC, ICSID, CAM, CIMA, TAB and ad hoc proceedings, being an expert in cases involving multiple jurisdictions and procedural rules. He also has extensive experience in advising on complex international litigation, commercial and contractual disputes, disputes arising from sales and acquisitions, corporate law and directors’ liability.
The new partner has practised as a dispute resolution lawyer in Barcelona, Madrid, Sao Paulo and London with the firms WilmerHale and Cuatrecasas. Valentí is admitted to practice law in Spain and in the State of New York, and is a member of various professional associations such as the Spanish Arbitration Club (of which he was coordinator of the -40 section in the 2021-2022 biennium) and the International Bar Association.
Hi is a Law and Business Administration graduate from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF), and holds a diploma in Legal Studies from Oxford University and LLM from Harvard Law School. He has written numerous articles on alternative dispute resolution and is also very active in the academic field. He teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution at UPF and International Arbitration at ISDE, among others.
