CEOs and executives from companies such as Parlem, Fractus, IQS Tech Factory and Smadex have launched Stage 2, the first industrial startup accelerator in Spain. They are preparing a €15 million fund for this purpose.
Stage2 aims to offer 6-month mentoring programmes to newly created start-ups as well as inject venture capital to help them reach the market. The money to launch the initiative has been €1.5 million, provided by the ten partners supporting the initiative.
The initiative has been promoted by Oriol Pascual, former head of IQS Tech Factory. It has also received the support of Roberto Gili of Crowdcube; Rubén Bone of Fractus; Francesc Andreu of Plating; Brap Pablo Linz of Immfly, Ignasi Tribó of Parlem Telecom; Jordi de los Pinos of Smadex; Lorenzo Ferrari of Ipagsa; Rick Scavetta of Scavetta and Bruce Larr Holland of Spectralink.
In addition, Stage2 plans to create another company to channel investments as a venture capital fund.
