RH&C advises on two e-sports contracts

Ruiz-Huerta & Crespo has represented Marcin Jankowski aka "Jankos", on his recent extension of his employment contract with G2. The firm also represented, Luka Perkovic, aka "Perkz" on his return to LEC, from Cloud9 to team Vitality

Veteran League of Legends star “Jankos” recently re-signed a 2-year contract extension with G2 Esports. The 26-year-old Polish jungler has played for G2 since the start of 2018, and is the longest-tenured player on the roster. G2 is considered one of the best teams in LEC (League of Legends European Championship), even if it failed to capture the 2021 championship, and challenges some of the best teams in the world internationally.

The firm also represented “Perkz” on his transfer from Cloud9 at NA org back to Europe, after leaving LEC for a year, to play at Vtality. the most stacked team of 2022, dubbed as the super team of the 2022 LEC season, with a roster that features all-star faces that could dominate the region.

Ruiz-Huerta & Crespo Sports Lawyers represented both LOL stars with partner Juan de Dios Crespo Pérez, CEO and head of the firm´s Sports Law department, along with associate Alfonso León Lleó.

“E-sports is not only a fancy way of having fun, but a real market and Sports Law cannot be out of it. RHC is dedicated since 2015 to that, helping our clients and lecturing too on the topic in several Universities,” said Juan de Dios Crespo.
