The Aire Group, owner of the telecommunications firm Aire Networks, has acquired Teradisk, a company specialising in managed services and cybersecurity based in Vilafranca del Penedés (Catalonia), according to Europa Press.
With this operation, the group expands its portfolio of cloud services in fields such as managed services, virtualisation and cybersecurity, which, in its opinion, “consolidates its leadership position in the cloud market”.
“The incorporation of Teradisk is part of the Aire Group’s strategy of incorporating companies that allow it to strengthen its positioning and create synergies in its portfolio of solutions. In this case, Teradisk will strengthen the group’s cloud and data centre division, Oasix,” the company added.
It will also complement the group’s cybersecurity division with its specialised SOC (security operations centre) and its “deep expertise in cybersecurity management and administration”.
The deal, which was backed by Ardian Buyout, marks the Aire group’s sixth integration in less than four years, following Unelink and Prored (2019), LCRcom (2020), Ar Telecom (2021) and Stackscale in 2022.
“Aire group’s organic and inorganic growth in recent years has led it to increase its network of more than 33,000 kilometres in the Iberian Peninsula, to create a pan-European network and to increase its offering in the ICT (information and communication technologies) ‘cloud’ sector,” the consortium added.
Founded in 2015, Teradisk is a Spanish company specialising in solutions dedicated to managed services (monitoring, data and dashboards, backups and disaster recovery, availability and concurrency), as well as cloud computing (architecture, consulting, private, public and hybrid cloud), cybersecurity and virtualisation systems, among others.
Teradisk’s 40 employees will become part of the Aire group, as will its customers, which are companies with cloud infrastructure needs, both public and private, and security. In that sense, the Spanish firm is focused on e-commerce platforms because of its “experience in infrastructure management”, according to the Aire group.
“This operation is great news that is part of our national and international growth strategy, which has been defined in recent years by the integration of companies that allow us to strengthen our commitment to customers, offering increasingly complete and customised technological solutions,” said the CEO of the Aire group, Raúl Aledo.
Meanwhile, Teradisk’s CEO, David Aguilar, stressed that they are “delighted” to “join forces” with the Aire Group.
