Pérez-Llorca takes KPMG Commercial and M&A partner

Pérez-Llorca has hired Javier Bau as a Commercial/M&A partner, joining from KPMG Abogados, where he was also a partner in the Big Four´s Commercial area

As Legal Dealmaker confirmed, Javier Bau will be shortly officially announced as Pérez-Llorca’s new partner.

Javier joined KPMG Abogados in 2018 from Allen & Overy, where he was part of the founding team of the Barcelona office. Previously, Javier was part of the legal teams of Deloitte Legal and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.

He has extensive experience in Commercial and Business Law, especially in transactions (mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and investments – both inbound and outbound) and commercial contracts. Javier holds a Law degree and a Master’s degree in Business Law from ESADE, where he has lectured on private M&A – Acquisitions & Joint Ventures.

At KPMG, he led and participated on various deals, advising LaLiga on its investment in Legends, Econocom Group on its acquisition of Semic, and was part of the team that advised on the sale of Vita Caps.
