Pérez-Llorca signs former Secretary of State for Employment as of counsel

Pérez-Llorca has hired Yolanda Valdeolivas, former Secretary of State for Employment, as of counsel to strengthen the firm´s Labour area

Yolanda Valdeolivas holds a PhD in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a professor of Labour and Social Security Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. She joins Pérez-Llorca as of counsel for the Employment practice area.

Yolanda has a career spanning more than 30 years. She is known for her research and academic work and for having held various positions of responsibility and management at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, including that of Legal Advisor (1991-1995), director of the Centro de Orientación e Información de Empleo (COIE) (1995-2002) and dean of the Faculty of Law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (2014 and 2018).

After two years as Secretary of State for Employment (2018-2020), Yolanda returned to the University to continue her teaching and research work.

She is a mediator and arbitrator for the Multi-Industry Mediation and Arbitration Service (SIMA), a member of the advisory and editorial boards of several scientific journals and an evaluator of research projects in different public agencies.

Yolanda has contributed to different publications and specialised journals, being the author of six case studies, in addition to others published in co-authorship, and around a hundred articles in publishing houses of the highest prestige in the legal field.
