Pérez-Llorca has today appointed Manel Hernández as a new partner in the Labour & Employment practice. Hernández will work from the Barcelona office in coordination with the other partners of the firm’s Labour practice located in Madrid, with the aim of creating a team of lawyers in Barcelona and thus developing this area in Barcelona.
Hernández has extensive experience in all areas of Labour relations, including the legal management of legal proceedings, strategic advice on Labour matters, negotiation in collective disputes, the development of occupational risk prevention plans and the development of equality plans, among others.
With almost 30 years of experience, until now he was head partner of Sagardoy Abogados Barcelona office and a member of the firm´s Management Committee. Previously, he worked at his own firm, at Caixa Catalunya, at the Catalan Health Institute and at the National Institute of Social Security. Since 2020, he has been featured in Best Lawyers® in the Labour and Employment Law practice in Barcelona.
He holds a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona, adDiploma of Advanced Studies from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s Degree in Management of Credit Institutions from the Pompeu Fabra University. He also has specialised training in Productive Decentralisation and Labour Relations from ESADE.
In his academic career, Hernández has been an associate lecturer on the ESADE Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession, on the Master’s Degree in Labour Law Consultancy at the University of Barcelona and is currently an associate lecturer at the University of Girona, where he has also taught on its own Master’s Degree and on the Master’s Degree in Access to the Legal Profession.
