Pérez-Llorca advises Edrington on its entry in Estévez group

Pérez-Llorca has advised Edrington on its entry into the Estévez group with the purchase of a 50% stake in the company. The companies (Macallan and Estévez) have not disclosed the amount of the transaction

The agreement signed between Macallan and Estévez goes beyond a simple strategic alliance for the supply of sherry casks for the ageing of Scotch whisky and the incorporation of the Valdespino brands into the portfolio of the Scottish group for its international development, according to the joint statement issued after the signing of the agreement on the real scope of an operation by which the Edrington group becomes a partner of the Estévez group after the purchase of a 50% stake in the company.

The companies (Macallan and Estévez) have not disclosed the amount of the transaction.

Pérez-Llorca has advised Edrington on this transaction with a Corporate team led by partner Álvaro Ramírez de Haro and formed by lawyers Ignacio Salas, Diego Muro, Santiago Maldonado, and Paula Quintillán, a Labour team led by partner  Isabel Moya, along with lawyer Eva Láuzara, and with the participation of IP Lawyer Inés Molina and Public Lawyer Víctor Corpa.
