Opdenergy adds Corporate lawyer from WFW

Opdenergy has hired Juan Area Díaz de Atauri as Corporate Lawyer from Watson Farley & Williams

Juan joins Opdenergy from WFW, where he has been practising since 2016, first as an associate and the last year as a senior associate.

Juan specialises in Corporate and M&A transactions, Private Equity investments, and business Restructuring, advising both local and global clients. He is usually involved in the drafting and negotiation of all kinds of Corporate and Commercial contracts across a diverse portfolio of sectors, with a particular focus on the renewable energy sector.

He also has experience in Insolvency Law, advising debtors, creditors, and potential investors, and Commercial Litigation. He started his professional career at Norton Rose Group, joining later Deloitte Abogados, where he worked for two years.

Juan is a Law and Business Administration graduate from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
