Ontier wins historic ruling for the brilliant creator, Paco de Lucía

Ontier has achieved a unique victory in the music industry in the field of intellectual property rights

-

Ontier’s team, led by  Agustín Azparren Lucas, has won a historic ruling for the brilliant creator Paco de Lucía and has managed to recover 50% of the copyright of 38 of his works, including ‘Entre dos aguas’, with an impeccable strategy, and the first case of ‘whistlers’ to reach the courts.

“Before his death, Paco de Lucía told his family that he was concerned that he would not go down in history as the exclusive author of ‘Entre dos aguas’, the piece of music that changed the history of flamenco. That has been the driving force behind our cause in a process that, to date, has lasted five years since the lawsuit was filed in court”, explains Azparren.
