ONTIER reinforces its Labour area with new managing partner and senior lawyer

ONTIER has added José María Fernández Mota as Labour managing partner and María Jesús Toraño Paunero as a senior lawyer, both joining from MA Abogados

Lawyer José María Fernández Mota joins ONTIER Spain as a partner to lead the Labour Law area. María Jesús Toraño Paunero also joins his team as a senior lawyer.

José María Fernández Mota has more than 18 years of professional experience as a Labour lawyer. Since 2017 he has headed the Employment Law department of MA Abogados in Madrid and has previously developed his professional career at USSÍA & MARTÍN DE VIDALES Abogados and at Rousaud Costas Duran (RCD).

He combines the practice of Law with teaching and training professionals and actively participates in specialisation courses and conferences on labour law. He has extensive experience in Collective Bargaining: Negotiation of Collective Bargaining Agreements, Redundancy Proceedings, ERTE, and Labour issues related to the development of the business activity.

José María Fernández Mota has a degree in Law and in Business Administration and Management from the Carlos III University of Madrid.

María Jesús Toraño Paunero has developed her professional career at Bankpyme, from 1989 to 1995, Legalitas, from 2000 to 2010, Consultores y Patrimonio from 2011 to 2016 and at MA Abogados from 2017 to the present, always specialising in labour matters and supporting large companies, management teams and SMEs. María Jesús Toraño Paunero holds a Law Degree from the CEU San Pablo University, a Master’s Degree in Tax Consultancy from ICADE and a Master’s Degree in Litigation-Labour Law from the Villanueva University Centre.
