ONTIER promotes Corporate and M&A partner

ONTIER has announced the promotion and appointment as new partner of lawyer Víctor Artola in the Corporate and M&A area

With this appointment, the firm continues to reinforce its growth strategy and development plan, consolidating internal career plans based on merit and competence and reinforcing global and transversal teams.

In the words of the managing partner of ONTIER Spain, Cristina Camarero, “We are particularly excited about this addition to the firm. Víctor has developed his entire career in this firm, where he joined in 2011 as a trainee, and since then, his evolution has been outstanding, with great personal involvement, excellent technical training and great client orientation, something that is fundamental in our organisation”.

Víctor Artola holds a degree in Law from the University of Oviedo. He completed his law studies at the University of Sheffield (UK), where he focused his professional career on commercial law and international contracts. He joined the ONTIER Oviedo office in 2011 and subsequently joined the Madrid office in September 2012, having also spent time in the ONTIER Lisbon and ONTIER London offices.

Although focused on Corporate and M&A, he has worked in Private Equity and Capital Markets transactions. Since joining the firm, he has completed his education at Oxford University, the London School of Economics (LSE) and with an MBA at the Instituto de Empresa (IE). In the academic field, he is a lecturer at the Instituto de Empresa (IE) and in the field of research, he has completed his thesis on cross-border mergers at the University of Oviedo, obtaining an honours degree. He has also published several publications and articles in specialised journals and generalist newspapers.

This new appointment of a partner in Spain is in addition to two other internal promotions announced by the firm last year, specifically those of Lucía González in the Energy area and Jorge Perujo in Corporate and M&A, in addition to the incorporations throughout 2022 and this year, In Spain, Francisco Javier Loriente as a partner in Public, Jaime Peiro as a partner in Tax, José María Fernández Mota as a partner in Labour, Natalia Callejo as a partner in Real Estate, Daniel Gutiérrez Bernardo in the Innovation and Digital Economy area, and Mercedes Romero Iglesias as a partner in the Litigation and Arbitration area. At the international level, seven new partners in the Mexico City, London and Miami offices are highlighted as part of the strong international development and consolidation of teams in the different offices of the firm. Specifically, Citlali Pérez and Miguel Ishii in Mexico, Jason E. Rosen, new partner in Miami, and Amy Harvey, Aoife Keane, Felicity Potter and James Dixon, in the United Kingdom.
