AAE is a private, non-partisan, cultural, non-governmental and non-profit organisation. Its objective is to support the efforts of the NATO, aimed at the development of peaceful international relations and the defence of the principles of Freedom, Democracy and the Rule of Law, as well as to shape, within NATO, a European Community.
Adolfo teaches Administrative Law, Public Economic Law and Regulated Sectors and Professional Ethics at IE Law School, whose legal programmes he co-founded with his teacher José María Cervelló. He is also a professor at IE Law School and chairs the “Cátedra José María Cervelló”, which promotes research and teaching on professional ethics in the legal profession, he is one of the most renowned Spanish administrative lawyers.
Adolfo holds a Law Degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and became a State Attorney in 1984.
He began his professional career as a State Attorney at the Tax Office and before the Toledo Court of Appeals and Tribunals, then moved to the legal department of the Ministry of the Presidency and, finally, as head of the legal department of the then Ministry of Health and Consumer Affairs. In 1988 he joined the firm Ernst and Whinney, which, after merging with Arthur Young, became Ernst and Young, where he was a partner in the Legal and Tax department until 1996.
He has been Undersecretary of Defence and of Public Works and partner at Uría Menéndez.
He is also an Administrative Law assistant lecturer at Universidad Complutense de Madrid (UCM) and associate lecturer in the same subject at the Centro de Estudios Sociales y Jurídicos Ramón Carande.
