ONTIER appoints new managing partner

ONTIER has appointed Cristina Camarero, current Litigation & Arbitration head partner as the firm´s new managing partner in Spain, replacing Pedro Rodero, who will become executive president

Cristina is a Law graduate from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, holds a Master’s degree in Family Law, and began her career at RHGR-ONTIER in 2002. After starting her practice in the Commercial, Labour and Family Law, Cristina focused her professional development in the field of Litigation, becoming partner in charge of the Litigation and Arbitration area.

In her more than twenty years of practice, Cristina has managed numerous highly complex judicial and arbitration proceedings. Her experience focuses on the resolution of disputes relating to the sale and purchase of companies; corporate disputes (shareholders’ agreements, directors’ liability, challenging corporate resolutions); breach and termination of contracts (construction, agency; distribution; franchising; joint venture) and professional liability. Cristina is particularly active in the resolution of major family disputes.

In her career, it is worth mentioning her participation in the most important litigation in Spanish judicial history in the field of directors’ liability, in the context of the sale of a listed company through a takeover bid, with a disputed amount of more than €1.5 billion.

Cristina currently teaches at Universidad San Pablo CEU; Universidad Rey Juan Carlos and IE Law School, IE University.

She replaces Pedro Rodero, who becomes the firm´s executive president in Spain.
