Monedero&Gil signs Aena’s secretary-general and secretary of the Board as of counsel

Monedero&Gil Abogados y Asesores Financieros has hired Juan Carlos Alfonso as of counsel in charge of the Corporate & Commercial and Compliance area

Until this month, for the last four years and a half, Alfonso has been Aena’s secretary-general and secretary of the Board of Directors. Member and Secretary of the Executive Management Committee. He has been giving assistance and reporting to the chairman and CEO of the Company and coordinating the group’s Legal services; foreign investments, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and corporate responsibility. He has also been director of the company Aeropuertos del Nordeste de Brasil.

Previously, he was vice-secretary of the Board of Directors at CESCE. He was also in charge of managing the Legal Services, coordinating the rest of the Company’s departments, as well as regulatory Compliance, assisting and reporting to the chairman of the company. He was responsible for contracting and internal resources too, among other duties.

On his appointment, Alfonso said: “After many years as an in-house lawyer, I am starting a new stage as Of-Counsel at Monedero&Gil Abogados y Asesores Financieros taking responsibility for the areas of Commercial Law, Corporate Governance and Compliance. I will pass on to my clients the experience and what I have learned during this period and I will continue working to offer quality legal advice, trustworthy and adapted to every need, well accompanied by great professionals such as Monedero Jose Ignacio Carlos Sanchez de Vivar, Jorge Ortiz Ramírez and Agustín Monedero San Martín.”
