The partners of Marimón Abogados have recognised his work as head of the Litigation department in the Madrid office since he joined the ifrm in 2015.

With the appointment of Marcelino Pajares as Partner, our firm continues its commitment to consolidate the internal professional career project that we approved three years ago.” said Luis Marimón, managing partner of Marimón Abogados.

I am very grateful for the trust that the firm has placed in me and my department, and I am looking forward to the challenge that this entails. I have the best team to face it,” said Marcelino Pajares. Furthermore, the main objective of the new partner is to consolidate the Litigation practice within the firm, “achieving a strength of its own, a differentiated profile within the market that supports the organic growth of the firm, based on legal quality and specialisation, as well as unconditional dedication to our clients.”

Marcelino Pajares began his professional career at Uría Menéndez and has almost 20 years of experience advising companies and individuals in judicial and arbitration proceedings in the civil and commercial areas. He is a specialist in the resolution of complex national and international disputes and, in particular, he has extensive experience in defending clients in proceedings in the field of Construction Law, and in the different types of Litigation related to Competition Law (Unfair Competition, damages actions for anti-competitive offences or private enforcement actions in this area of law).

Marcelino holds a degree in Law from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and is currently working to obtain a PhD in Litigation Law at this university with a thesis on the procedural aspects of private enforcement of Competition Law. The promotion of Marcelino Pajares to Partner is in line with the firm’s strategic goal of consolidating the growth of the Litigation department through a rigorous advice that, without neglecting its general practice, is firmly oriented towards its specialisation
