According to 2playbook, former FC Barcelona manager and former president of the Circuit de Catalunya, María Teixidor has announced that she is going to present her pre-candidacy to lead the new body. According to the same media, she has the backing of the US investment fund Muse Capital which is willing to invest €40 million in promoting the competition.
Her team will include Reyes Bellver, a lawyer specialising in Sports rights, advisor to FIFA, and president of Leadership Woman Football. Teixidor will aspire to be president and Bellver to hold the position of vice-president of a pre-candidacy with the slogan: “It’s time. Commitment and ambition.”
This way, her candidacy is added to the list of pre-candidates for the presidency of the women’s professional football league that keeps growing. Maria Teixidor has announced her intention to run as a pre-candidate for the presidency of the new body that will regulate professional women’s football.
Both pre-candidates are founders and managing partners of their own law firms. VUCA Solutions in the case of María Teixidor, and Bellver Sports in the case of Reyes Bellver. Both of them count on an outstanding cv and career that cover multiple angles of the Legal and Sports profession.
