M-E, ARCO advise on ETN´s acquisition of ASDS’ businesses

Martinez-Echevarría has advised Spain´s A|S|D|S (Automatismos Servicios Distribución Y Soluciones), a leader in the industrial automation sector since 2006, to French multinational ETN, represented by ARCO Abogados

Spanish Company ASDS has sold its core business, as well as its industrial automation and electrical material distribution business with customers such as Omron, ABB, Mitsubishi Electric, Siemens, or General Electric among others, to the French multinational ETN.

The deal value has not been disclosed.

Madrid-based ASDS provides industrial automation, with a team of highly specialised professionals, working with leading brands in technological innovation in fields such as automation, home automation, lighting and electricity.

ETN, an independent distribution group of automation, electrical engineering,
technical trainings, process instrumentation, vision systems, industrial ethernet & cybersecurity, robotics, and EMC, with more than 75 offices in 15 countries and more than 60 years in the automation business as well as electrical material distribution.

Martínez-Echevarría advised ASDS with a Commercial team led by partner Óscar Murillo and his team of lawyers Alberto Salgado Tortosa and Beatriz Álvarez. Tax structuring advice was provided by partner Igor Martín and lawyer Lucas Carrero-Blanco.

ETN was counselled by ARCO Abogados, with a team led by partner Roger Canals.
