Longtime Telefónica Legal counsel joins Exolum

Cristina Fernández Gómez, general counsel M&A, Finance & Commercial at Telefónica, joins Exolum as secretary-general and of the Board of Directors

As leading expert in Finance Law, Cristina Fernández Gómez was at the helm of the Legal Financial department at Telefónica since 2012, and in 2016 she became the head of the Legal M&A, Financial and Commercial department.

She started her career at Uría Menéndez in 1998, while completing her studies in Business Administration. She worked within the Corporate and Finance department of Uría Menéndez for five years, until September 2003, when she joined Ferrovial S.A., the holding company of a construction and services group operating worldwide. During her time at Ferrovial she rose to director of the Legal Corporate department.

She obtained her double degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pontificia Comillas (ICADE E-3). She is a member of Women in a Legal World, and has been recognised in Legal500 GC Power List.

She now joins Exolum, Europe’s leading logistics company for liquid products and one of the largest in the world, as general counsel for M&A, Finance and Commercial.
